Tragic News from Uganda - Please pray for the Kanyankole family.
Kenneth writes...
Dear Martin ,Kate and all Christians of St Mary's Church.
Greetings from all our family members.
It is unfortunate for the state we are in today. The day Bishop was preparing to travel to Kinkiizi on Tuesday ,it is when Christine, the wife of the late Coleb rung us that Coleb was seriously beaten and needed attention. We hired a vehicle and rushed him to Kambuga Hospital,20km away.
Dr Hope did her best but it was too late.He had a fracture on the skull and had internal bleeding.
On Wednesday,at 1.00am,our brother and friend passed away.
Before he died, he had gained senses and told us the two people who had beaten him seriously on his way from the small trading centre.
We transported the body to the Police for statements. The Police later arrested the two men who had participated in the killing. They are now in Prison.
The Police demanded Post-mortem report which we didn't have.We arranged with Dr Hope to come and did Post-mortem.We sent a vehicle to her transport and did the examination from the deceased home.It was cheaper to transport the Doctor to the deceased home than transporting the body back to the hospital.
Burial took place on Thursday at 3.00pm.Thousands of People came to attend the Burial. It was conducted by Bishop Dan ,Bishop John and several clergy.I will send you some Photos.
Coleb has been the first born of my father in law,Robin is the second born.It is difficult for Robin to admit that Coleb is dead. They had strong attachments as a brother and a sister.I left her yesterday with the parents and Christine.I Traveled home with Evas who was to go back to the University this morning.I will Pick her tomorrow.
Cole died at the age of 43 and left one widow Christine and four orphans. The first born is in senior one together with the second born.the last one is two years.
Before he died he told his wife that Robin and I should take care of these children. So it is our responsibility to assist Christine in bringing up these children.Dan Is now 14 years,Jenipher is 13 ,Timothy is 11 and the youngest who is 2 years. We have nothing to do ,only to pray to God for guidance as we raise these children in a godly way.
Continue to pray for us because we are still in a shock.Pray for Christine as she begins anew and difficult life style.
Thank you for your constant Prayers
God bless you
Kenneth and Robin
