RESTORING the lost and downtrodden by SUPPORITNG worldwide mission and INSPIRING our congregation.
We want to see the lost and downtrodden restored to wholeness and released from spiritual and material poverty.
We will do this by supporting charities, organizations and individuals through monetary and non-monetary means.
And by inspiring our congregation to act and pray, through effective communication.
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter.…spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations, you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings”

St. Andrews College (Asuncion in Paraguay)
Gwen Carlisle was (and is!) a member of St. Mary’s and took up the challenge to teach at St. Andrews College, a Christian college in Asuncion in Paraguay. She went in 1983 and she’s still there!
Now as head teacher, Gwen comes back to the UK every two years to see family and visit her link churches that support her. She says that St. Mary’s has changed but she still considers it her home church and looks forward to coming when she is back.
Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language and people. Rev 14:6
Since 2012, one of our young adults has voluntarily spent time in Uganda, supporting and encouraging churches and communities. She has been involved in schools work, sponsorship programmes, building projects, investing in local enterprise and proclaiming the gospel.
