Christmas is fast approaching, and we are so looking forward to celebrating together and welcoming our community into St. Mary’s. With that in mind, we wanted to let you know of what is coming up at St. Mary’s over Christmas.
Hope House Christmas Craft Fayre
Saturday 25th November from 10am – 2pm
Whether you're looking for Christmas gifts for family and friends, or a little treat for yourself, you will find plenty available across the various stalls. With free entry, refreshments, crafts for the kids, face painting, and a visit and photo with Santa (additional charge), it will be a great time! All money raised will go to support the fantastic work of Hope House - Enju ya'masiko in Uganda.
Christmas Tree Decorating Party!
Sunday 26th November, after the service (around 12pm) in Church
Please join us in decorating our Christmas Tree and church building, in preparation for our upcoming Christmas events. We have a great time with hot Chocolate and Christmas music, and snacks provided.
Bereavement Service
Sunday 3rd December from 3-4pm, in Church
This is a time for our community to come together to remember loved ones who have died, hear of God's help and hope as we miss them, and offer comfort to those who grieve. If you know of someone who you feel would appreciate this service, please do invite the. The service is for everyone!
Messy Church Christingle
Sunday 10th December at 4pm in Church
We welcome you to come and join the fun at as we celebrate Jesus, the Light of the world! Starting in the main Church, we will have worship, crafts, fun, cake, and messiness together, it’s a great time for the family!
Carols by Candlelight
Sunday 17th December at 6:30pm
This year we will be having one carol service in the evening. We’d love for you to join us for an evening singing carols and a time to come together as a community and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. We would love to see you there!
Christmas Eve Family Nativity
Sunday 24th December at 4pm
We invite those with young children to join us for an interactive family focused service where we will be sharing the story of Jesus' birth. You can come as yourself, in your favourite Christmas jumper or dressed as a character from The Nativity.
Christmas Day Celebration!
Monday 25th December at 10:30am
We’d love for you to join us on Christmas morning as we worship together, sing carols, and celebrate the good news of Jesus' birth and the true meaning of Christmas. You can also join us in our Christmas jumper parade. Following the celebration, we will be holding a short service of Holy Communion for anyone who would like to stay behind.
